Sharon Booker-Brown is a mediator who practices in the following areas: employment, contract, product liability, personal injury, civil rights, real estate, probate and family conflicts. She has 16 years of experience participating in the resolution of various disputes through negotiated settlements, mediations and arbitrations. In addition to her legal experience, she was trained in mediation skills at Northwestern University and is a Certified Mediator. She was also trained as an Arbitrator with the Circuit Court of Cook County Mandatory Arbitration Program and is a Certified Arbitrator.

Ms. Booker-Brown is a highly respected attorney and speaker on employment law topics as well as other legal areas. She is the founding attorney of the Booker Law Group, LLC in Chicago, Illinois. She has more than sixteen years of extensive legal experience that includes handling numerous employment issues, claims and lawsuits, negotiating and drafting business contracts as well as handling personal injury matters. Prior to starting her law firm, Ms Booker-Brown was Senior Counsel at a Fortune 500 company where she handled a variety of employment matters that included race, sex, disability and age discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wrongful termination cases, among others. She also worked on severance negotiations and agreements, performance improvement plans, workplace investigations, employer training programs and counseled executives on employment issues. As Senior Counsel, she gained insightful knowledge and first-hand experience on how employers make decisions related to employees which will be beneficial to parties dealing with employee-employer conflicts. In addition to employment matters, Ms. Booker-Brown has significant experience with business contracts. She has negotiated, drafted, reviewed as well as interpreted a wide array of business agreements and resolved business disputes including multi-million dollar matters. Some of the agreements she has handled include: supplier, consulting, severance, service, warranty and indemnification agreements. Her experience has helped her understand the business world and their decision-making process which will be beneficial to parties in business disputes.

Ms. Booker-Brown has represented plaintiffs and defendants in the public and private sectors. She worked with the City of Chicago advocating for the Community on various municipal issues, a law firm defending personal injury matters, a Fortune 500 corporation handling employment, contract, regulatory and product liability matters as well as representing claimants/plaintiffs in employment matters in her current law practice.

Ms. Booker-Brown is a member of several organizations including the Chicago Bar Association, American Bar Association and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She has served on the Board of Family Rescue, a domestic violence agency and been a faculty member for various organizations.

Ms. Booker-Brown earned a J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School and was a managing editor for the Journal of Law and Inequality. She earned her B. A. from the University of Southern California.
